Case Study – Campus LAN

One of our clients,  an academy in Hyderabad, providing specialized training is spread across a large campus, has a well established and distributed IT infrastructure. All staff, trainees and students are given training on use of IT. Their IT infrastructure is equipped with the latest solutions along with internet access facility.

Challenge: Constant and rapid growth, requirement of high speed internet & application access over wired and wireless required a new standard platform for the end users network in the academy.

Solution: We implemented a robust routing and switching architecture for the client consisting of Cisco Catalyst 4500, 3750, 2960 Series Switches with Gigabit Ethernet. The Academy has different buildings, each building has distribution & Access switches depending on users scalability. We have designed entire academy network infrastructure with a 3 tier architecture consisting of Core, Distribution and Access switches and have connected all the buildings within the campus using OFC Gigabit Backbone connectivity.

Catalyst 4500 Series supports Core switching, Routing, & Fast Convergence.
Catalyst 3750 Series supports Dist. Switching, Routing & differentiate end user traffic.
Catalyst 2960 Series provides Access switching for End users.
